On behalf of the Congress Steering Committee and Scientific Committee, we are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract for a concurrent presentation or workshop at the 2025 HOPE Congress. The theme for this year’s event is “Together: Sharing Information, Sharing Knowledge, and Sharing Practice.”
We encourage submissions that emphasize the vital role of education for children with medical or mental health needs. In line with the theme, we are particularly interested in practical, teacher-to-teacher workshops where educators can share hands-on strategies, classroom experiences, and effective teaching practices. Our aim is to build communities of practice that exchange knowledge and foster collaboration.
Submissions focusing on interdisciplinary cooperation between health, education, and social services are also highly encouraged.
This congress offers a unique opportunity for you and your colleagues to present your latest research and share practical approaches related to the education, health, and wellbeing of young people with healthcare needs. Join us in advancing the conversation and contributing to this vital field through meaningful, peer-driven learning experiences.
Important Information:
All abstracts must be directly related to the education of children and young people with medical or mental health needs.
Abstracts are submitted via an online submission system. You can register with the abstract submission website and set up your username and password.
You must use the same login for each abstract if you submit more than one abstract.
All abstracts must be written in English.
Do not include author names in the title or body of your abstract – these are entered online during the submission process.
Abstracts should not include references, these may be entered separately during the submission process if applicable.
You can alter your abstract at any time up to the submission deadline of November 30, 2024
The abstracts will be evaluated by the scientific committee for their level of innovation, contribution to the field, and adherence to international educational and/or scientific standards.
Any abstract that was submitted for consideration as an oral communication, but was unsuccessful in that regard, may be considered for poster presentation.
All correspondence will be with the submitting author only. This author is responsible for disseminating information related to the co-authors.
Please note that the presenting authors must register in full to attend and present the abstract at the congress.
The deadline for submissions is extended to December 6, 2024

1. Oral Presentation (20 minutes)
Oral presentations may be submitted by individuals or groups. Each abstract should align with the congress’s main theme and its related subthemes. While a few presentations may be selected for plenary sessions, most will be grouped into concurrent sessions to foster focused discussions.
2. Workshops (60 minutes)
Workshops provide interactive sessions designed to model effective practices and proven educational activities. Participants should leave with ideas, tools, or strategies they can develop, implement, or adapt in their own teaching contexts. These sessions are intended to be highly interactive, encouraging active participation and discussion. Workshops may focus on training participants in a specific area or generating interest groups or networks for future collaboration. Facilitators are expected to provide practical resources, either digitally or in print, that include instructions and templates.
3. Poster Presentation
Posters will be displayed throughout the three days of the congress for all delegates to view. Each author will be allocated time to present their poster during a dedicated session and should be prepared to discuss their work with attendees. Posters should be prepared in A0 size (1189×841 mm, portrait format).
